Rewilding Resources

pexels-kristina-paukshtite-712876.jpg

This page is dedicated to Rewilding resources that will inspire young nature lovers to assist nature in regaining its health which will, in turn, help humanity deal with the challenges ahead.

These resources will be continually updated. We hope that, eventually, every country, community, and school will create its network of resources.

"If you truly love nature, you will find beauty everywhere." –Laura Ingalls Wilder.

Citizen Science

We are developing a partner network to create Citizen Science projects anyone anywhere can get involved with.

We will be measuring your project to create the world's biggest mini-rewilding project :)

We will then develop skills to measure the impact the project has alone and as part of a global community.

We don't believe all technology is bad.

This section will introduce you to organisations using technology to complement rewilding efforts.

We Click on TNC's logo to find out how they use technology and how our 'hashtag' social media strategy can contribute to global conservation efforts.

Another great example is BIRDA.

An all-time favourite is the tech team from Raspberry Pi who has teamed up with BBC presenter Maddie Moatie to create a wildlife camera.  Click on the Raspberry PI logo for this and more cool tech in nature ideas.

Reach out to your local council.

The fact it recommends keeping it away from waterways should be enough for you to make a decision.

Weedkiller dangers to health.

We were oblivious to the dangers of Glysophate-based weedkillers (such as Roundup) until Drugswatch. com approached us.

'Roundup is a popular residential and commercial weed killer made with glyphosate. Farmers, landscapers and agricultural workers have used it since 1974. However, some studies have linked heavy glyphosate use to an increased risk of non-Hodgkin lymphoma and other cancers.'

Whilst it seems the United States EPA is not on board, the rest of the world is, with a growing list of countries and regions banning its use. These can be found here as part of a billion-dollar lawsuit against Bayer & Monsanto.
